SAT
  • The SAT is offered in April to juniors and qualifying seniors, at no charge, as a part of the MME (Michigan Merit Exam).

  • Students can retake the SAT or ACT at their own cost if they are unsatisfied with their score.

  • Tests are offered at various sites throughout the year.

  • Watch for registration deadlines.

SAT / MME – American College Test / Michigan Merit Exam

The SAT / MME has replaced the MEAP test for high school juniors. The three-day test includes the SAT, WorkKeys, and State of Michigan tests in social studies and science. The MME is offered in April every year. Attendance is MANDATORY for all juniors. Taking the MME will give students the opportunity to take the SAT college entrance exam at no cost. For more information about the MME, visit www.michigan.gov/documents/mmde.

SAT – Scholastic Aptitude Test

Whereas the ACT is accepted at all universities in our country, schools in Michigan also accept the SAT. You can check the university’s website to find out which test they will accept. Because some students do better on one test over the other, they should take both tests. For an explanation on the difference between the ACT and SAT go to:
